Induction of new members will be held in Wilmington at the 2012 Annual Meeting Reception.
The 2012 Membership Directory was put in the mailed to all NCBAA Members on December 23rd. Please allow time to receive your copy due to the holiday mailing rush.
Additional copies may be purchased by members for $5.00 each plus postage.
Non-members may purchase copies of the directory for $10.00 each plus postage.

First AOC Training Class Scheduled
In order to help Bondsmen navigate the ACIS system more efficiently, AOC will be providing training classes.
Cost is $35.00 per student.
Classes will be scheduled after the first of the year. Check back here for dates.
To sign up for either session, email Willa Moyer at willa.e.moyer@nccoruts.org. include your name, address, phone number and the session you wish to attend. There is no need to pre-pay. Bring your tuition to the class or request invoicing the day of the event.
Other classes at the AOC facilities in Marion, Kernersville and Williamston will be available after the fist of the year.

House Bill 335 went into law at 12:01am on October 15th.
The bill established NCGS 58-71-200 which allows Bail Bondsmen free access to search criminal records in the AOC real-time criminal information systems. Any bondsman wishing to use this service will need to fill out the appropriate paper work, pay a one time fee of $200 plus purchase the required software. The application for this service is now available.

ALL license renewals and modified applications are due at the Department of Insurance by MAY 15, 2011!
A Department representative stated today, May 12,2011, that a postmark by May 15th (no later) would be accepted.
To check if your payment has been received by DOI click on this link sbs-nc.naic.org/Lion-Web/jsp/sbsreports/AgentLookup.jsp and follow the directions. If your payment has been received and processed, your license expiration date will be 6/30/2012. This field is updated as payments are recorded.

The Department of Insurance sent out Annual Renewal statements last week.
License Renewals and a modified application are due in the
Department of Insurance’s office by May 15th, 2011.
The process is as follows:
1. License renewal payment with coupon should be mailed in the envelope provided for single license holder. Dual license holders should mail payment directly to DOI.
2. Print the modified application off the DOI website. Complete and fax, email or mail to DOI. The application and instructions can be obtained at:

There is no background check required this year.
