DOI Announces “Bail Bondsmen Industry Day”

NCBAA is always striving to make sure that all bail bondsmen are aware of changes occuring in our industry.  We also want to make sure that any process changes are explained in full so that everyone is inconvienced as little as possible.  In January, Amy Holt, NCBAA Education Co-Chair, contacted DOI to see if there could be some type of training for licensed bondsmen concerning the new licensee application portal.  Amy also asked if any training could include a chance for bondsmen to ask questions about the on-line license renewal process.

As a result of Amy’s inquiry, Rebecca Shigley, Agent Services Deputy Commissioner, contacted Pearson VUE to see what could be arranged.  Today email invitations to an Industry Day for Bail Bondsmen and three webinars were sent to all licensed bondsmen.  – DOI Invitation : Bail Bond Industry Meeting

You can RSVP to attend one of the Webinars or the In Person Day here

DOI LIAISON COMMITTEE SURVEY

Melissa Seiler has recently been appointed the Chairman of the DOI Liaison Committee.  As part of her service to the members of this great Association, she has already reached out to DOI to facilitate a meeting to address concerns important to the bail industry as it relates to the Department’s regulation of our industry, the seeking of common ground to improve the professionalism of our industry and a goal to identify issues that we see as problematic so that we may work together towards a positive solution for those issues.

She is seeking your assistance to achieve these goals and is requesting that you  fill out a survey that allows you to designate specific issues that you have experienced regarding the DOI that may need attention.
