Dear Member,
Bail PAC is a Political Action Committee. Its primary function is to raise funds to donate to legislators who support our industry.
Bail PAC consists of a chairman, assistant chairman and your board of directors. State Election law directs that only individuals can contribute to a political action committee and it has to be a voluntary contribution. Our PAC is guided by our lobbyist who directs where contributions are needed.
Why do we need a PAC?
The only way a law can be introduced is by a legislator and the only way that a law can actually be passed is by a favorable vote of a majority of the House and the Senate. Since the House and Senate consist of several hundred members, it takes a lot of contributions. Bail PAC works to assure our industry will be treated fairly in relation to forfeiture proceedings, rules and regulations by the Department of Insurance or other governing branches of government. It also helps us to fight against state funded programs such a pretrial release or state-run bail programs.
Bail PAC needs every bondman’s financial assistance in order to achieve our mission to promote, preserve and protect our bail industry.
Thank you for your continued support.
I remain sincerely,
Howard H. Davis
